Berlin Babies.
Dolls made during my term abroad in Berlin. Their likeness is based off a culmination of metal fans I observed in Germany. The dolls themselves are studies in masculinity in the Heavy Metal subculture via traditionally female handicraft.
Clothing, paint, clay. Approx. 5 feet tall.

“Rock und Wickingerbar” 8”x16” Acrylic on Panel.

Nicest guy on the planet. Gave me the mead out of his hand. Met him during my study abroad in Berlin. At the Rock Und Vikinger Bar of course. But I can’t spell his name, so it’s untitled for now. I was very inspired by the Jan Van Eyck pieces at the Gemaldegalerie. Hope that’s obvious.
